Mobile library

A mobile library or a library bus is a bus packed with books and other materials. There are seven mobile libraries operating in the area of North Karelia.

If you live far away from the library, there may be a mobile library stop near your home! In addition to the regular routes, the mobile libraries visit schools, day care centers and elderly housing units.

A mobile library functions like any other library: you can reserve books and other materials from any other Vaara library and pick them up from the mobile library operating in your area. You can also return books borrowed from other Vaara libraries to the mobile library.

You can find all the mobile library timetables, routes and maps from the web library.
